Dressing Up for Xmas with Wallis Fashion

I spent a fab afternoon last week at the Wallis Fashion Xmas Preview Event. For the girl who said she’d “maybe try just one thing, but wouldn’t have any photos”, I got a bit carried away. I always was a sucker for accessories (I used to buy wands and tiaras for Disney…) and with the lovely treasure chest of props, I couldn’t resist getting dressed up.

The AW12 collections are full of glamour and glitz and I love the Wallis take on that, which is really wearable, even if you’re breastfeeding!

I checked out lots of styles for breastfeeding friendliness (I’m pretty sure I was the only blogger / in attendance who felt the need to check how quickly and easily I could get my boobs out of the clothes…) and these are my hot picks, which have all passed the MilkChic test!

Breastfeeding friendly topLurex top with wide stretchy sleeves – perfect for sleeve feeding!

This is a really good day to evening top that would work well with skinny jeans (sadly none of the Wallis styles fitted me quite right, but I am an odd shape…). I wore it with my own wide belt and full skirt for a retro feel.

Wallis Black Drape DressFor full on glamour, this Black Drape Embellished Maxi Dress is stunning. I fell in love with the necklace, which is a real showstopper. The crossover front is fastened with a sparkly brooch which distracts from a tummy and gives it lots of adjustability. The teal version is pretty too!Wallis Oval Stone Section NecklaceWallis Silver Embellished Clutch Bag

Wallis Navy Lurex Split Back Jumper
This Navy Lurex Jumper has an unusual split back detail which means it lifts up easily for breastfeeding access. The sparkly knits feel dressy without too much effort, which is perfect when you haven’t got long to get ready.
I surprised myself by really liking the leather pencil skirt, which felt great on and instantly added a bit of edge to statement knits. And of course leather is wonderfully wipe clean! Black & Red Court Shoe

Leopard Print Faux Fur Jacket
Finally, if you’re looking for a really cosy jacket that won’t interfere with feeding your baby, this leopard print faux fur jacket might be the one. It feels unbelievably soft and has a hook and eye fastening which isn’t too fiddly. If you fasten just the top one or two hooks, it will act just like a breastfeeding cover, but look considerably more stylish!

For more breastfeeding friendly Wallis Fashion clothing, check out the shop pages – lots of new lines just added! If you’re no longer restricted by breastfeeding, take a look at the sleeved picks at Armed & Glamorous too. But please don’t buy the last kimono sleeved dress in a size 12. I will cry if I miss out…
