Breastfeeding support:
If you’re struggling with breastfeeding, don’t suffer alone. The NCT Breastfeeding Helpline (0300 330 0771) has breastfeeding counsellors available between 8am to 10pm every day. Your midwife, health visitor, local NCT or La Leche League can advise on local breastfeeding support groups where you can meet other mums and get practical help. For well-researched answers to all your breastfeeding enquiries online, KellyMom is a fabulous resource. Alternatively, Greatvine lets you talk on the phone to the country’s best experts, whenever you need. They’ve hand-picked the leading specialists in over 100 topics.

You’ll also find lots of wonderful breastfeeding mums online at The Leaky Boob and on the Dispelling Breastfeeding Myths Facebook page.

People to talk to:
If you need people to chat to at odd times of the day and night, you might want to visit one of the major online forums. There are lots of options, and you’ll soon find where there are likeminded mums, although there is no reason to just join one! I found the ladies on the BabyCentre Breastfeeding board really helpful and non-judgemental. If you’re on Twitter, tweet me @milkchic and I will introduce you to some great mums online.
